LS1 T56 swap into LT1 A4

i have a 2002 trans am parts car. everything is in the car but the engine. i was originally going to do just the front end swap but since i allready have the car, i might as well do the transmission too. i always wanted a stick . is there any difference to the transmissions? any tips and comments? thanks

Re: LS1 T56 swap into LT1 A4

Do you mean putting an LS1 version T56 into an LT1? An LS1 T56 will not bolt up to an LT1 engine. There are a few things that prevent it, like longer input shaft.
