LS1 rear end in an LT1

I just ran across a rear end and brakes front and rear from a 2000 SS. How difficult is this to swap into my 94z? It has the gear ratio I want and the upgraded brakes but not sure if the anti-lock would still work. Anyone done this? How much should this rear end and complete brakes ft/rear be worth? Car had 1,000 miles on it.

Thanks!!

I have a LS1 rear in my 94. It's just unbolt the old and bolt in the new. You need to be sure it is not a traction control rear. If there is one sensor in the middle of the rear your abs will hook up and work fine. It won't work with a traction control rear which has two sensors, one on each side close to the brakes. Be sure and get the emergency brake cables, your 94 ones won't work.

Re: LS1 rear end in an LT1

I paid $300 for my rear including the brakes and emergency brake cables. It had about 50000 miles on it. I got it from E-bay so I also had to pay $100 shipping. My LS-1 front brakes were $150 plus $50 shipping. I think those are about average prices for these items. If the ones you are looking at only have 1000 miles on them you might have to pay more. I was able to use mine without replacing brake pads or rotors.
