LS1 4L60E Shift Firmness?

My Question is does the LS1 4L60E not shift as hard as the LT1 4L60/4L60E under WOT?

I had two LT1 cars a 93 with the 4L60 and a 95 with the 4L60E, they both shifted alot harder than my 02 Z28's 4L60E. They really seemed to have more "snap" between gears.

Would anyone suggest a Hypertech/etc to firm up the shifts?
Is there something I should look for?

Thanks for all help!
