I have a really loud ticking/rattle sound after my clutch install with a LT4PP, SPEC2+ disk and Fidanza flywheel. The sound isnt controlable, and is always intermittent. Doesnt matter if clutch is in, out , moving, not moving, or idling, its always on and off.

Here is what I've tried

1) Took the scatter shield off and drove around. Still does it.

2) Made sure that Clip holding the TB in didnt fall out.

3) Pulled the trans and clutch out again and saw no signs anywhere of irregular wear. Replaced the pilot bushing again knowing that I didnt lube the last one at all thinking that could have been making the noise. Still does it.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks

 

so pushing the clutch in or out has no effect on it? Sounds like a lose bolt somewhere.. Try having someone shack the crap out of it and listen for the same noise. Or hit it w/ a rubber mallet and listen.

 

I guess i could give that a shot but it seems like its way to loud to be a bolt rattling around.

I also checked for clearance between the ring gear and the starter. That seemed fine to me but I think im gona pull the starter this weekend and bump start it and see if that does anything just to rule one more thing out
