limited-slip additive in 4l60e??

Hey guys I just had a shiftkit vette servo and an edge 2800 stall conv installed in my tranny and while installing it the tranny guy (a real dick, every customer apprently hates em), well he's like there's some clutch material in the pan, and my valvebodys losing pressure during shifts, I'm like ok don't worry about install everything as planed. Everything went in fine shifts gr8 no problems even added a tranny cooler for peace of mind. Before leaving he said add 4oz of limited slip additive 2 it and it will be fine... Should I add the limited slip additive??? The trannys shifting fine, never slipped a day in its life. I was gonna drain a qt and add a qt of lucus. But if the limited slip additive is ok to do ill go ahead and do that. Help guys tranny stuff is sooo confusing to me. Also he wouldn't show me the clutch material he pulled out so I don't know what to do...

Yea I figured that. But I was gonna add the 4oz of limited slip additive just wanted to get some opinions on if there is any truth to adding this to the tranny as a clutch friction modifier

My first thought was, "If it's not made to go into a tranny or (which it's not) don't put it in." I don't know for sure if it will hurt or if it will help. All I know is, the LS fluid is meant to mix with gear oil, not tranny fluid. I don't know if it would matter, but I personally wouldn't try it. Actually, personally, I wouldn't put anything in if your not noticing any drivability issues. If you really have the urge to add something, just use Lucas. Never heard anything bad about Lucas anyway, plus it can't hurt.

Maybe someone else can chime in on the GM limited slip fluid in the tranny.

I added what's called lubegard "red bottle" I really just added it for peace of mind because I hate when people tell me crap that's not true to get me all worried... Like I said even with that added trannys still fine... Lesson learned if it aint broke don't fix it, lol
