Daniel,

Are you going to Manual, if not search for flexplates not flywheels, also if the car is used for mostly racing then the lightweight is NOT the way to go here...

Ahh, Ok then, sorry I don't have too much for you then, since I haven't had a 6sp car for about 10 years now... I miss that car though...

there are a few out there, i dont know off hand but I think 3 or 4 companies make lighter ones. I know they re all different weights so it gives you some options. A few guys have em, maybe they ll chime in and shine some light on this subject. Im also looking for something a little bit lighter than stock.

I kknow one option for a very light flywheel: I have an SLP lightweight steel flywheel. 13# or so as I remember. But that was on clearance sale almost a year ago, and I don't know if you can still find them.

This flywheel brought my total rotating clutch/flywheel weight down from about 40# stock to about 30#. I love the quick revs, and gladly traded improved throttle response for compromised drag launching. Launching isn't hard but it takes a lot of slipping on the street, and a TON on the track. Like most of the way through first gear, from 4000+RPM. Combined with a motor that needs 1800RPM or so to launch on the street, city driving killed my CFII DF clutch in one summer of 4000mi and 20 passes.

I have a Lightweight aluminum flywheel from fidanza and a pretty agressive clutch, the flywheel only weighs like 11.5 pounds or something like that. Good for road racing not that great for drag racing because of the whole inertia thing going on with it being lighter and all. Do a search for flywheels and stuff, lots of good info. Take care.
