Okay so I attempted to fix the gears again. This time I got better pictures. Please note the paint may play tricks but the pattern is even on both sides.....how does the pattern look? what should I adjust?

How much resistance are you using to get these patterns? Resistance is critical. You need a buddy that will allow you to have a "load" on the gears when trying to get a pattern.

From what I can tell, you are toe heavy on the load side and heel on the coast. This needs to be more centered - pinion too deep into your gears.

I just torqued the pinion to within specs. I've just been following the directions on my training video. Does it look like I need to add or decrease anything on the driver or passenger side? That's the real pain in the ***.

Carrier shimming (as compared to pinion shimming) is the easy part I think. That seems to be correct, but what is your backlash? But again, I will say your pinion seems deep.

I think this one looks better and pretty drivable. it seems you went in a lil deeper on this set up. I believe i would cap it up and listen to it while its in the air. The car gonna make a lil noise because it isnt on the ground but you should be able to tell whats what.

So I should put on a thinner Pinion shim?

Setup up the rear wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...The hardest part is getting the bearings put on. I took a short cut with the pinion bearing and ported out an old one so you can just slip is on and off.

But the pattern overall looks ok? Just needs to be in further is that what you guys are saying?

You should see the POS pattern that I ran through there after it came from the shop...better yet look at this sh*t
