knock in the rear

when i slam the gas i get this loud bang like something is loose. ive been told that my gears are going in the rear end. can anyone shine some light on this topic. also what gears are good for the rear. i was thinking slp 3.23 gears. any info will be helpful. thanx

Others have said it could be the y-pipe banging the bottom of the car. Slaming the gas pedal causing the engine to move a little and that in turn moves the y-pipe to bang on the underside of the car or it could be a broken transmission mount, these are very commen to break.

Other sources for banging are loose LCA bolts and loose torque arm bolts (2 long ones mounted to the differential).

if i push the gas nomally then it wont happen but if i push it a litle too much then i get the noise i havent checked the tranny mount yet but i do have the poly urathane mount that i have to put in. i changed the torque arm mount but i still get the noise
