I will be going out of town to the inlaws house tonight and need to make sure I take the right tools with me. I will be installing a short shifter into my father in laws 96 SS 6speed and a skip shift elimenator. I have installed tons of short shifter in Rx-7's and other rear wheel drive mazdas over the years. On the camaro it looks just about the same as any other car.

What tools do I need to take with me do make this install to make it as simple as it seems?

What trim parts around the shifter have to be removed? Just the surround or armrest part as well? Where are the clips or screws that will hold this all in?

Once thats off it just looks like 4 bolts to take out the stock shifter, 4 bolts to put the new one in and just replace the trim parts.

Thanks in advance for the info, I just dont want to get to their house and have a certain tool sitting hours away in my tool box.
