I want more mods, worried about blowing trans..

Well, all the mods I have are in my sig. I was thinking about 1.6 rr's and new valve springs, and then getting a tune from madz28. Im trying to make a goal of reaching 300 RWHP. The trans in my car is still original and it has about 100k on it. I recently had the fluid flushed about 4 months ago, and I think it was the first time it was done. The car shifts great, and really hard right now, but im worried about doing more mods to the car, and then wrecking my trans. What do you guys think?

You'll be fine, I have a stock a4 right now and had it all year with the mods on my sig.

With the amount of power you want to run, you should be ok, but it isn't a bad idea to look into a built-up trans. in the future.

Well how much can a stock tranny take if its in good condition? It's probably a question of how good the shape of it is, as apposed to a brand new stock tranny. Could a new one handle 450rwhp? Im about to put 400rwhp on my 60,000 mile stock tranny and rear end. I'm sure 300 rwhp would be fine.

How can I improve my stock tranny if I just want to make it little bit stronger than a stock one?

Mine crapped out with 275hp @ 95k miles. It all depends on how much it's been beaten on. If you need/want a built tranny I have one for sale w/ 2200 stall for $600.
