Drivetrain Clutch, Torque Converter, Transmission, Driveline, Axles, Rear Ends

I think I put clutch in wrong.

I think I put clutch in wrong.

I just got done with engine rebuild and put clutch and tranny back in. I can switch through the gears without pressing clutch??? The motor is still not all together so its not running yet. When I put clutch disk in I put the side that sticks out toward the flywheel, so the flat side of disk was touching presure plate. Is that right? Or is fork maybe not on right? This is my first manual car so Im new at this.

in a manual transmission car you will be able to shifter gears without the clutch if the car is not running.

hell, you can drive around and shift with out a clutch if you want to.

when I put the clutch disk in I put the flat side of disk toward pressure plate is that right? Anyone have a diagram.
