I have a 1993 LT with 700r4 stock 3.23 rear trans and k&n and 1.6 comp gold mags 1996 ss block with non-fbody intake.I have hooker cat back and cut out.

I have for parts an extra "freshened" bare block with just crank and caps in it 2 heads that need port, 2 cams comp 305h and a 305 or 306 i don't remember. I also have unused flat lifters and intake.

I'm looking at doing H/c/i build (see other posts for more info). I need to know what I can do/ need to do to my drivetrain I need a torque converter for sure but idk what stall?
I projected hp/tq is 400/390 going off other builds ive seen will axles hold up ok( with and without slicks)?
What gear is best looking to get a got off the line car and won't be taking car for regular long trips?
I've been looking at bow tie o/d parts for level 2 build any feed back ?

My budget for trans and rear is 750 to 1200.
