Hydraulics or Bad Clutch???
Hydraulics or Bad Clutch???
A week after I went to the track and made a few 5-6K drumps w/ slicks my clutch starting doing some weird things..When I get to about 4k rpms and up the clutch vibs fairly bad and if I try to shift quickly the clutch will stick to the floor for about 2-3secs then come back up. If I hold the rpms around 4-5k I can rest my foot on the clutch and it vibrates alot more than before...I have checked my fluid and its OK but it seems to be the hydraulics to me..Anyone else experienced this before?

sounds like your pressure plate is screwed... I'd say a new T.O bearing and clutch setup should fix your issues.. The vibration in the pedal could be the roughness in the t/o bearing or actually a imbalance in the clutch/flywheel assy..
Hmm..now that I think about it, when I noticed it happening I was sittin at a stop-light and I heard a loud screeching sound for 2-3secs then it went away..I didtn think anything of it thinking it may have been the car beside me..Maybe a spring broke and that made the screeching sound till it slung itself out. When driving normal you cant tell at all..Just when I take it to high rpms the clutch has a very, very bad vibe in it and wants to stick to floor..Looks like I may have to drop the tranny for the first time in 1.5yrs..lol
