Re: how to remove trans????

I like to show people Javier's TC install writeup, just get the car up a little higher to actually get the tranny out from under it...

Re: Hope comments and pictures help.

I just got done doing my 1994 Z-28 (clutch and rear main seal). Not too bad of a job. I have a Chilton and Haynes manual...either one would be a good source. The only hang up I had was my first attempt at pulling the tranny off the bell housing. The fork must be pull back to disengage the release bearing. Neither manual was very clear on that. Just grab the clutch release lever, with plyers, and pull. It will come loose and stay with the tranny. Take the tranny off of the bell housing, then remove the bell housing (if you want to get to rear main). The second bolt down on the left of bell housing is a little tricky. Not much room to get a 14mm wrench on it. The rest just use a long extension and a socket.

PS I am not a mechanic Hope this helps a little. It took me an entire 2 days, however knowing what I know now I could do it in a full day ez. Hope the pics help.
