how long will a ST last?
Re: how long will a ST last?
Oh maybe Street Twin, as in his clutch...
That depends completely on the driver, and the use of the vehicle...
could last 50K miles with minimal track use and zero 6000 RPM drops or 500 miles with a 6000RPM drop ever time ot goes out...
And that isn't even getting into the vehicles power. These are all variables that will effect how long it will last...

Re: how long will a ST last?
ya i'm refering to my clutch
i just didn't know what i was gettin in for really...never had a 6K rpm lauch...maybe a 3K at the most, but thats all. but i was told not to baby it(the clutch) cuz it's bad for it to be slipped
idk though

Re: how long will a ST last?
Honestly it is bad to slip any cluch too much, but the perception of too much slippage is different between different people and different drivers...
For example you and your gf/wife, might drive a manual tranny car differently and one might slip the clutch more then the other, but it their mind they are slipping it just enough to accelerate comfortably...

Re: how long will a ST last?
the street twin will last quite awhile.. 1 it don't slip as much as other cluthes, 2. there is twice the surface area ie material so it'll be there for awhile..
