Mine is not very soft when shifting unless I double clutch it, it just feels a little clunky. The trans is freshly rebuilt t56, although I have no changed the oil since I got it rebuilt is that something am I suppose to do to flush stuff out or what not?

I see you have a T56 Rebuilds (Six Speeds Inc) T56. They recommend using Mobil 1 ATF fluid, and changing after 10000 miles. I also have a Six Speeds Inc T56, and mine shifts smooth. You should be able to park the car with the engine off, then hold down the clutch pedal and shift into each gear. It should be smooth and nothing should bind or stick (except reverse, hard with engine off).

Its not really binging or sticking, I can get it into all the gears its just that it feels a little knotchy, like I can really feel the gear when I go to put it in, but its not hard to get into any gear. If I double clutch it, it slips right in no knotchyness at all. (by double clutching I mean shifting into neutral, letting clutch out, pushing clutch in and then going to my desired gear)

Also it gets harder to shift when at full throttle I really gotta throw it in there good, but their is no noise/grinding noise to be heard ever when racing or normal shifting it just feels like im pushing the shifter through two pieces of metal (knotchy), is this normal.

The T-56 is naturally kind of clunky, but what kind of clutch are you running?

autozone re manufactured stock flywheel, lt4 pp w/ auto zone stock clutch. Long *** story as to why thats what I have, I was trying to get a mccleod setup to work (clutch was defective) but ended up needing the car real quick so I went to Az and picked up a clutch kit.

I've tried pumping the slave by hand vertically, not sure if its helping or not. Whats the best way to bleed the hydraulics while they are still in the car, and I dont feel like buying a mity vac.

BTW: The whole hydraulic setup is brand new from GM, the only way I could see air getting in was when I have the slave dangling for a day.

Stilll sounds like your clutch is dragging or something making it hard for you to shift.

damnit, well I orignally had a disengagment problem w/ my mccleod single disk car wouldnt shift at all so I had to take out the single disk, lt4 pp and reman. Lt1 flywheel. Bought a brand new Lt1 flywheel from GM and used the autozone PP/clutch disk. So I cannot begin to understand what the heck could be the problem!

Tolerance stack-ups or alignment or something. Doesn't help that there's no adjustability.

What the hell could not be aligned right? I mean it seems that most of the time either it works or it doesn't w/ clutch setups. I just don't get it, I bought brand new everything, entire clutch/pp/to bearing/pilot bearing/flywheel/complete hydraulics / rebuilt trans / new shifter...I mean WTF could be the problem! I am almost ready to sell the car this irritates me so much. I built it race at the strip occasionally and now I cant even do that. Well I can but I dont know if its good for the trans cuz I really have to throw in threw the gears hard.

You might start by having someone help you measure your clutch/fw clearance when the clutch is disengaged. Is there any spacers behind your flywheel or anything?
