how come my car wont go into gear?

last night i was pulling into a gas station and it was stuck in 1st gear. It wouldnt come out and was making some grinding noise when i was trying to take it out. I kept pusing the clutch in and out and wasnt doing anything just staying in first. I finally used both hands and pulled it out of gear and it finally popped out of gear.

Now since then i cant even get it to move! it will start but when i put it in any gear it wont grab and go? It doesnt even stall out if i put it in gear and let go of the clutch. I can even shift through the gears without pushing the clutch in.

What happened? did the clutch bust or something internal in the tranny? oh and by the way, my car is a '94 z28 but i have a M6 out of a '93

Sounds like the clutch is coming apart and will dot 100% disengage.

Tranny must come out to check the clutch, I doubt anything is wrong with the tranny.

well there is pedal pressure and everything. No fluid leaking anywhere. It doestn make any grinding noise or anything when i press or release the clutch pedal. Someone here at work said possibly the input shaft because with my mods, 4.10 gears and the shorter gear ratio from the '93 it was made to happen. Im still trying to find out

well i got the car on jacks in my garage. I took the little cover off where the slave cylinder goes into. I try pushing in the clutch fork in with a big screwdriver to see if the fork will move. The clutch fork doesnt wanna seem to move. Coule this mean the pressure plate is stuck or something?

well i took out the tranny last night....

the pressure plate is fine, the fingers aren't broken. Clutch disk is fine, springs and everything are in tact. Flywheel fine, left it bolted on engine.

So....i guess that narrows it down that something screwed up in the tranny

oh well, i hated that '93 M6 that was in there. I just might get one from sixspeedsinc.com
