how can I bypass the computer shifting?

Is there any way without going full manual or adding a shift kit to bypass the computer controlling shifts? I would like to be able to make it shift because right now when I am on it it will not shift correctly and usually results in bouncing off rev limiter and I fear the problem may take the lives of the valvetrain components.

If anyone knows any way to do it please let me know.

thats a really good sign the trans is on its way out and you may want to start thinkin about a rebuild rather than a way to controll shifts

Well, if you have to pull the transmission, put a TH350 in the car. That solved my PCM shifting problems!

Well you could build some sort of shift box and plug it directly into the trans we have one I built for testing purposes, Basically its three toggel switches two control the shift solenoids and 1 for the tcc. Ours also have a presure control but if you were only using it for wot racing then it wouldnt be needed. Just and Idea ,

My trans only has a couple thousands miles and seems to do the same thing that the OP stated. I think it's in the tuning. Is the OP's car relatively stock?

If the trans is in good shape then likley its a matter of tuning , Particulary with mods to the engine the RPM rises faster but the time it takes the trans to shift from one gear to another is a constant. So depending on when you have it set to shift there may not be time to complete the shift before it hits the limiter
