hot spots on pressure plate

Removed the pos spec II I had installed and the pressure plate had some hot spots on it. The disk was very glazed over if that makes a difference. The setup was 7k miles old or so. What does this mean and should I replace the pp?

Re: hot spots on pressure plate

Well... generaly when you do a clutch you replace everything. The friction disk, PP and T/O bearing. Also machine the flywheel and replace the piliot bushing.

But I have heard of people that just reuse the PP... I wouldn't recommend it. Especialy if it has burn marks and 7K miles on it.
