Horrible Slave cylinder leak.

Replaced the slave cylinder on my 97 z28 and since then its leaked like crazy. I installed the new slave with the new rubber washer and new pin. Right were the line goes into the slave its leaking badddd. Im driving myself crazy trying to fix it. There is about 1/16" play in the line where it goes into the slave. Anyone had this issue or heard of it? I tried doubling up the washers and its too much washer to get the line to go into the slave. Any ideas?

A little bit of play is normal. Take the slave back and get it exchanged for a new one.

is the line leaking or the rod that pushes the clutch fork

more than likely you tore the O ring, when you reinstall it use a slight amount of grease to lube the oring

This leak is still an issue i desprately need some help here. The only brake fluid i see is on the slave and the line about 3 inches up the line. I tried doubling up the rubber gasket for the slave and its way too thick. Could the braided line be damaged? I can't seem to find the line anywhere online for sale and the local chevy dealer doesn't sell it. They sell the entire clutch kit thats the only way to get it. I have a new master and slave already.
