HELP PLLEASE! rear end clunk- U-joints?

Hey guys
theres a clunk clunk clunk sound coming from my rearend. I thought it was my u joints needing to be replaced, but i just checked and there is no play in the driveshaft. It does twist a little, but the car was in gear and i believe this s a normal thing to have the tranny let the driveshaft twist back and froth slightly right? My question is what else could the sound be? Im leaving on a 1000 mile trip thursday, and i need to know that my car will make it with no problems. Oh, i have 115k on it.

could be slack in the rear or the tranny. if you are just driving it nice you should not have to worry.
