Talking help me pick a clutch. Pretty please?

So, the setup as it will be this spring:
438rwhp 431rwtq motor
tick performance viper mainshaft conversion 6-speed
strange seamless chrome moly drive shaft
strange dana 60 rear, 4.10, tru trac
umi weld in relo brakets
j&m polly ball control arms
spohn adjustable torque arm
spohn double adjustable panhard bar
STOCK CLUTCH

So, this thing is first and foremost a DAILY DRIVER. So, no chatter crap. I want to be able to slip it in stop and go traffic, and then go to the drag strip and launch on slicks. Yup, I know Im asking alot out of a clutch setup, but I want something that is gonna work for me. The car is 98 percent driven on the street, and occasional drag use. I also want to go to an open autocross event or two this summer at Brainerd with the local car club. So, its gonna need to satisfy a bunch of needs.

So, let me know some experiences with what you liked, as well as what did not work!

Thanks guys and gals!

Well, I know I'm nowhere close to you in HP, but I love my RAM clutch. Absolutely NO chatter. Shifts good, holds great. I'm sure you could find one for your application. Plus, you won't find many bad reviews about them, as opposed to SPEC. Just my $0.02.

Any clutch that is capable of your power levels does not want to be excessively slipped, just the way it is. Slipping it will cause too much heat and lead to slippage.

Also a disk that can hold that power level most likely wont have marcels (springy things between the facings) which does lead to more chattering. Also using a full face instead of a puck disk will reduce chatter.

I have the Spec 3+ and it is great, it has very little chatter once broken in and bites hard. I am very pleased on the street.

I make 350 or so on motor, and about 450 on the bottle, I have been running the Mcleod single disk, and it is a great clutch! Drives good and grabs hard. Its is decently priced.

guess I never looked at mcleods single disks.. I always drooled over their street twins.
Isnt that street twin slip-able AND holds like a beeotch?

I guess I didn't think that there would be a single disk that would give me the best of both worlds, but I like how much cheaper this is gettin...

The McLeod SD is still an awesome clutch. The Street Twin is overkill for your power level, but I'm under the impression that it would still be more pleasant to drive than the single disk.

Personally, I'm saving for a Street Twin.

you have a bult drivetrain and sus. + chasis. Go street twin. Hit it with a 200 shot and have fun. The single would work if you dont have any plan for a power adder.
Then theres always spec, thats a iffy situation. You could be fine or you could end up with three of them in 60days.

HAHA I have to laugh at that spec comment. Nice! Im thinkin I need to bite the bullet and get the twin, but damn Ive forked out so much money this spring, I dont know if I can afford it. I think I may just beat on the stocker until she finally gives (which wont be long) and then hopefully ill have some extra cash to get it then.

I appreciate all the thoughts and suggestions... feel free to keep them comming!

Here's how my mcleod single disk held at the track.

I'm trying to find some info about the centerforce DFX's, I know some high hp cobras run them. I swore that I'll never run a spec clutch after one of my buddies had a stage 3 grenade on his C5 totalling his car.

I have a ram hdx clutch. Terrible for both street and track. It used to hold good. But after driving in traffic too often it has began to be on its way out. So I will also be in the market for a new clutch as you are here in a short while.
