Help me diagnose clutch problem.

So, I thought slave cylinder as bad because car was very difficult to put int gear, especially in 1st. I realize that the clutch is not disengaging completely when I depressed the pedal.

I get new, pre-bled GM clutch master/slave unit and install it.

No change.

Clutch engages fine, does not slip, and there are no strange noises coming from that area. Clutch is a RAM Powergrip HD and has been in the car for 3 years/8k miles.

Any ideas?

Could I have possibly installed the new hydraulics wrong? Don't really see how it could go on any other way than it is now.

Only thing I can think of is maybe the clutch fork. If I were you I'd take off the slave spacer then put the slave back on and have someone push the clutch in and see if it looks like the slave/clutch fork is working properly. If you got the pre-bled master/slave I don't see how it couldn't be working right and I don't think there's anyway you could install it incorrectly.

uhhhh, I pulled the trans today to check everything out too.

I did not leave the plastic cap on the end of the slave like I should have, this could be my problem.

Where would I get one?

I don't think you can get just the plastic cap, you have to get a new slave?

I just installed a complete new clutch flywheel slave and master on my 95 LT1 I got the same problem BUt it is getting better now I've put about 200 miles on it and it keeps getting easier to shift and the clutch is getting better feeling I have talked to other who have had the same exact situation and they all said it got better the more the clutch was used I think they just need to be broke in a little before thay start working good. So just give it time keep driving it and deal with it it will get better mine did.
