Jack up the rear, mark a tire and mark the pinion, rotate tires once, count pinion rotations.

On a level road surface what RPM is the tack showing at 60 MPH ?
if you have 4:10 gears you should be around 2500 rpm's

Re: Help figuring out rear end

Yeah thats about where its running parkersZ28. also i used my hypertech chip to make sure it was set on 4.10, went out on a drive with my mom driving next to me and she was running 70 and my speedo said about 70 also. when i put it on stock gears i was running like 70 when she was doing 40. so im pretty sure now that my Z has 4.10. also i found two slips in my car from a drag strip that showed this car running 13.3 quarter mile. does that sound about right with everything thats done to this car????

yeah, you are on the right track, but like the other guy said jack it up in back, put it in neutral, rotate the tires one time, drink one beer, and count the drive shaft rotations, do the ratio thing, then you'll know for sure -
