help! 4l60e in my silverado ss

So the temperature dropped relatively quickly in my area. My trans seems to hold 1st gear out way too long (up to 5-6K) then drop for a few seconds into second gear then right to third. If im cruising in any gear but first the truck is fine but once I come to a complete stop, the Trans holds onto first for way too long.
What could be wrong?
78K miles

edit: the temps never go past 150...after an hour of driving it is at about 125.
fluid is good

First thing to do is get the truck scanned and see if there are any codes and if possible data log it when its doing this

Ill still scan it with my modus at work...

edit: looked at your site, really impressive. Is there anyway i can either have you rebuild my 4l60e or get some kind of credit for the core...

The only thing we can do there is we will pay shipping to have your core picked up and send you 150 dollars back ,

I am pretty much sold...
another question...
for a Silverado ss (seen you on silveradoss.com) what transmission would you reccomend? Haul 2 quads or bikes on occasion. Pretty much a stock truck.

Any type of discount if i purchase your converter with the trans?

torn between a few options, but so far, i have herd nothing but good things about your transmissions and service!
edit: what converter for my truck.
