HARD Clutch To Drive! (Adjustments??)

I just had my car in for a oil change and like EVERY time, it took the lube tech 3 tries to get the car moving without killing it. It is a very hard car to drive. Its not a wicked racing clutch and it should not be this bad. Its like the point where the clutch starts grabbing and the point where its fully engaged is 1/2 an inch apart. In addition to that, this point is quite high on the petal making it even harder. Its nice that I only have to tap the clutch to shift but its not worth it. I want to space out the initial engagement and full engagement point and move it closer to the floor. What are my options?

Posted to soon. Sorry.

I added some washers and it made a world of difference. Not only did it move the engagement point down, it not has about 2 inches from starting to grab to full grab. I guess the slave physically moves more at the end of its stroke to be sure the clutch it fully disengaged. Sweet, finally easy to drive...

now to decide on gears.. 3.73 or 4.10 (Question posted in separate thread)

Thanks :-)

Just have to stress again after putting some more miles on the car how much of a difference this has made. SO SO SO much easier to drive. I think i am even going to shim it just a little more so I can keep my heel on the floor when the clutch is grabbing (just as long as it will continue to fully disengage) *(and i know i may have to take that shim out as the clutch wears)*

I didn't think that hydraulic systems were adjustable like this, I thought the whole point was so it would self calibrate.. lol oh well no complaints!..

the washers are used to push the slave cylinder further away from the clutch fork. So between the slave cylinder and the transmission
