I see an ad saying its a direct fit but it has 2.97 first gear instead of 2.66 (i think its 2.66)

Anyone done this swap? Comments on the gear ratio change?

Synchros the same, better, worse? etc?

i have driven both an 04 and 05 GTO. To be honest, shifting in the gto is not as crisp as the shifts in my z28. The synchros feel a little mushy in the GTO. Would Def stay with z28 synchros.

sure it's not the shifter being mushy? try one w/ a aftermarket shifter and i think your opinion might change.. I don't know about the diff ratio's or the diff synchro's either be interesting to learn more..

So no one knows? I just saw someone selling them on Ebay....
