Good shifter for 700r4

I'm tired of the sloppy stock shifter and I want a good set up like the Pro Ratchet but thats a little high priced. Maybe a Pro Stick or Quarter stick? Which is going to work best w/ the 700 being a 4spd? I'm probably going to a manual valve body by the end of the year and I want something that keeps its "streetable" as in drive it to the track.

My friend had done something similar to that when he went from a 6spd to a 350, he put the shifter inside the boot and it looked like it was still a six speed and he would get a lot of crap about the way the car launched and how it sounded when it shifted. No one really caught on.

So I'm guessing you like the prostick?

very happy with it,i have seen the 6 speed boot on the shifters, but i wanted to keep the stock a4 console,so we fabbed up some brackets and played with it untill it fit the stock a4 console without cutting.
