This kit comes with everything you need, even a new rear end girdle for added strength. How many hours labor did they quote you?

id keep shopping, i paid $343.95 after tax for 3.73 (2 series carrier, richmond gear) installation kit, 2 qts gear oil, 1 qt gm posi additive.

labor was $265 so $603.95 said and done.

If you have an auto, go with 3.73's...if its a stick, id get 4.10's...ive got them in now and its incredible how much fun the car is to drive. But 3.73's would be a great gear for a manual too.

in what regards? richmond vs another brand? 3.73 vs 4.10? im not clear on your question.... performance wise, it can be a huge differance. with the right hp, can be a significant gain. in my case, with 420rwhp, i was a slug off the line with 2.73's only running a 13.15 best @111mph. got the 3.73's and ran a 11.87@118 everything else was the same.

well the stock ones vs 3:73 and 3:73 vs 4:10... to be honest i only know that gears will reduce my top speed.. but after reading some posts there a must when making intitial mods..

I ended up paying 440 all said and done. Gears and install kit were 190 shipped i think. Install was $250 and included all oil/gm limited slip addititive.

I got used 3:73 GM ones for $70 and the shop said it would be $50 an hour labor and said he might get it in 3 or 4 tries or 7 or 8 so the faster or luckier he is the more it will save me. I see the kits run around $100 so i might break the $400 mark.

It would be better but more horse power is always important.
