Gen 1 2 400cid sbc bolt pattern same as LT1??

Were going to put together a pretty stout 400 small block for this summer instead of the 383 and my understanding is that all sbc bolt patters are the same so a t56 would bolt to anyof them so please correct me if im wrong

thanks,
-john

Yes, the bell housing bolt pattern is the same. You will have to get a special flywheel that works with the pull clutch that also has the early flywheel pattern as well as the appropriate counterweight.
