Which would be a better buy next. Right now I got SLP intak, exhaust, headers. Now looking to make my next purchase would like to no which would be better to buy 3.73 gears or TC with a 2800 stall.

If you have 2.73 gears right now, do gears first. Otherwise, do the stall.

Listen to this man. If you get a stall with 2.73's when you drive on the street it will blow big time. Get the gears first then get a stall, it helps that "dead spot" you get with a high stall converter on the street.

if you get the gears first make sure you have really good tires! Without traction, your power is no good.

Ok, I am getting the Richmond 3.73 Gears...no more 2.73! I have a couple of questions
1. Richmond is a good brand right?
2. Do I still need to put the GM Additive ?
3. Does the 3.73 gear only help on the take off or all around power?
4. Do I need to buy the install kit? I was assuming that all I need is the oil and gasket

1.richmond whine but they are stronger cause of the way they make them.
2.not sure what kind of additive you need to use but you dont have to use the gm additive i didnt.
3.it will definetly help a lot on take off but still give you all around better performancs (make sure you get good tires).
4.you need the kit cause its always a good idea to replace the bearings.

I had a Vig 2800 when my car used to be an A4 with 2.73's...nothing "blew" concerning drivability or performance-wise...

quick question, I currently have a TCI 2600-2800. If I install 3.73 gears, I wil have no traction at all right? So I am thinking of going to 3.42? What do you think

a stall will cut your 1/4 by ~.5 seconds...gears will cut it by ~.2 on a near stock car, and that's being optomistic...
