gears and how long will 10 bolt last?

i have a 2000 ss camaro auto trans and i have 323's but i cant decide if i want to go to a 373 or a 410. what is the most realistic gear for track and everyday driving. how many tenths off with 410's and the 373's how long would would my 10 bolt hold up with the 410's or 373's.
with headers, exhaust and gears about what would i be runing in a 1/4 mile when i have been running 13.5 stock @102.1

As a dual purpose car, I would stick with what you have. Changing to the gear ratios you quoted would turn the car into a drag car with the potential to blow the 10-Bolt. With the 3:23 Auto you are getting the best for street and track and your numbers are not that bad and the addition of the Header & Exhaust would improve performace. Just my opinion..

yeah, I don't think 4.10's would go too well from everything I've read. I just put 4.10's in my rear but I have a sixth gear with .5 ratio, automatic trannys don't.

I think (based on what I've seen other people post) 3.42 is an optimal for auto tranny street/strip car. Anything higher and you will start hating highways. But then again, 3.23 --> 3.42 may not be enough difference for you to even notice anything has changed
