Question Gear/Stall--> Two part, Help

First I'm still shopping and was wondering if anyone has heard of these converters if so please share your input. I always followed the rule you get what you pay for but these don't seem to be poor quality for the price.

Second I have asked for recommendations on my stall and gear all over and it seems either I have picked a good combo or their all just agreeing with me. I'm wanting to do a 3.73 and probably a 2800 stall I dunno. I want the car to be streetable and tame to match my current setup. As of now the car really needs a higher stall, it surges a little when you shift in gear (hard to hold the car stopped) and feels like the stock converter is locking in and out @ 50ish mph when you let off the gas.

If you know somewhere to buy stall/gear for good prices please post it. Thanks

as for the converter, that is the same one that i put in my car, 2800 stall, and it is doing well..

For the gears, i recommend Strange 3.73 for a 2 series carrier, if you had 2.73's in your car before, or if you had 3.23, you can go with the Motive 3.73 for a 3 series carrier.

only get the shift kit if your transmission is not slipping at ALL. if it's showing signs of slippage all the kit will do is send your trans into the ground quicker.

But if it's already slipping it's days are numbered anyway.

I'd up the stall a little 3000-3200. With 3.73s it'll still be very streetable.
If you get the 2800 you'll be back wishing that you'd went bigger.

Re: Gear/Stall--> Two part, Help

First I don't understand the concern with shift kits. The first thing that concerns me is my rearend not the trans. B&M transpac the one I have actually claims to extend the life of a trans. Dunno any pros wanna comment on that?

Second this Dacco stall I'm looking at seems to good to be true. I can get one for 160$ when a Yank or Vigilante costs up to 800$ can someone explain that to me as well? Are we mainly paying for names or is the "free stall change" that comes with them calculated in there?

Third many have told me to go 3K or higher stall with my setup but on the other hand I've spoke with two converter companies and they are saying 2.5K to 2.8k max. I don't get it. If your building a race car you want it where your torque curve starts pulling right? So if you want a street/strip car what do you do? Thanks for reading all my stuff
