gear selector problems

i just got done installing a new torque converter and transgo shift kit. when i got everything back together the trans doesn't want to go into park reverse or neutral every gear is forward. i like that kind of attitude but sometimes you do need to go backwards.
also the car seems to start out real slow like it was in 3rd gear even when i get on it a little but then it shifts twice so i guess it does start in first?!? I thought it was the selector but it seems to only go on one way to the cable. anyone know what would cause this?

Re: gear selector problems

I'm not sure but I will help you get this to the top again,

All I do know that could play a factor in this is when you pulled the VB to install the TG kit you messed something up!

Sorry not too much help, but hopefully someone will chime in!
