gear question

i have a 01 z28, it has 2.73s. can i use 3.42s from a 94 z28?

No, you can't just pull the ring and pinion from the 3.42 diff and put it into your 2.73 diff because factory 3.42's use a 3-series carrier, 2.73's use a 2-series carrier.

Your options are A) get the whole axle housing with the 3.42's, or B) buy 3.42's that are built to fit a 2-series carrier
