Gear lube question

Gear lube question

I am having my new gears put in tomorrow and my mechanic told me to pick 80w-140 gear oil, is this ok or should i be using a different weight?

No dude, that's WAY too thick.. Get yourself some NON SYNTHETIC 80W-90
