gear install question

i installed a motive 4.11 gear in my 10 bolt until i get a strange but i have a question. after installing the gears and setting the pinion depth to match the ring gear correctly i installed the companion flange(yoke) and it does not draw up to the pinion seal as close as it did before i changed the gears.is this normal?is it because of the change in pinion depth?i drove the car and nothing seems wrong and it doesnt bang or howl so it seems to be ok.its my first ring and pinion change so when the yoke didnt draw in as far as it used to i became concerned.if anyone can give some advice or info to set my mind at ease that would be great!i dont want to drive it until im comfortable its right!

thanks ,guys

It could be a few things. Sounds like the crush sleeve may not be crushed? would need more info on the setup......

If you are not using a 1" BFIG or a 4' jack handle on a 1/2" breaker bar you probobly are not crushing the sleeve down correctly.
