Re: Fuddle Racing is here!

I have a few questions about the LT1 converters.

What would you say are the appilication differences between your $400 converter and $550 converter. I see the main difference in the power rating.

Can you give us some insight as to what you would use the different levels of your converters in?

For example. The stock 298mm is probably good for a stock or near stock application at or below 300rwhp, the $400 245mm is recommended for a full bolt on or small to mid size cammed car at or below 360rwhp. The $550 245mm is recommended for heads and cam bolt on cars and power adder applications.

Just wondering what level I might be looking at. I am planning on getting a stall, then doing a mid to large size camshaft about 350+rwph/tq, then moving to get some Lloyd Elliot heads. So I want to get something that isnt overkill for just a cam, but something I can grow into after getting some heads. My current mods are in my signature.

I'd like to take advantage of your sale.

I tried calling tonight, but I guess I'll try next week. What are your hours and where are you located? Thanks

Good questions. I like his prices but I would like to know how they stand up to the comp. I would also like to see some results, times and testemonials from board members also.

LS1 guys seem to have great results. I dont know of anyone with a LT1 Fuddle TC. I hope to be one of the first and I hope to give everyone continuous feedback, kinda like the Camaroz28.com board ginnie pig.

I agree, those are good questions…So here goes…
The $400 Performance series is a very strong converter. It will handle big power at WOT. They use massive ballooning plates, one piece hardened turbine splines, heavily upgraded stators/stator races, and rather than use the cheaper, mass production technique of simply furnace brazing, every fin is hand brazed and welded in place creating tremendous strength. These converters have run into the 10s with no problems. They are built to take huge power and take you down the track FAST.

The $555 HP/Street converter is simply built to be the best street converter available on the market today. Has all of the strength and power handling of the Performance Series and more. The HP/Street uses a billet cover that was designed to house the absolutely HUGE clutch we use. This converter has a 43 sq in clutch. To put that in perspective, the stock clutch is 20 sq in, and a major competitor, who you all know, only houses a 24 sq in clutch in their $1000 race units! This converter will handle the big power you throw at it and if you are making it at low RPMs, this clutch will stand up to what you throw at it.

For an application like yours, I believe you are going to be fine with the Performance Series. Even after the heads go on, I feel you will be just fine. However, if sometime down the road you were to strap on a blower, you would want to consider the HP/Street. What we want is to allow you to grow because I personally know how plans can change in time. If that is the case, we do offer our unprecedented Upgrade Program. The bottom line is that within the first year, if you decide you want to upgrade, we will apply 100% of the price you paid toward the price of an upgrade. Within the second year, we will give you 60%. We want to leave you room to grow.

We are located in Salt Lake City. Our hours are generally from 9-5 Mountain time. We are currently upgrading our phone system and will have a new number up within the next couple days.

Thanks for the explaination. Sounds like youll have a new customer from CamaroZ28.com soon.

How long is our promotional pricing ($50 off) going to last on your converters?
