Talking Finally got a stall

Yeah, it's about damn time. I bought it from a guy in our local club about two months ago, and I've been waiting till I had the money to get it done. It's a freshly rebuilt TCI 3800. All I have to say is WOW. I've only had it for a day, and it's like I can't stop driving it That is, of course, if it wasn't for the gas prices.

But yeah, I'm glad I finally got it done. I might regret not having DR's though. I've got Nitto Extremes on, though, 275's, and they grip pretty good. They spin, but it's not too much.

Now I'm trying to think of what to do next. So far I've got the stall, lid, cutout, free mods, SFCs, and LCAs. The list is getting there I'm thinking maybe a pulley next, since I'm not sure what kind of headers to get (might want to save for stainless) All in all, I'd like to hit 11s this fall. I hit 12.9s with just the lid and cutout, and she still had plenty.

I just wanted to share my happiness

Sweet How do you like the TCI 3800?? I think I might go with the 3500 but I hear good things about both so who knows What is the STR on the 3800?? You have a strong running car.....just a tick stronger than mine Have you thought about a LS6 intake for a next mod?? I would keep an eye out for one in the for sale section too see if you can find a good price. Oh yeah be shure to post up some new track times....I'll guess a 12.4 @108 '60 1.68

What gears are you running? That could be your next mod. Did you have to do any computer mods w/ the stall? W/ no stall and 3.23 gears, I'm at 2000 rpm at 70 mpr, how about you now?

If you get a lockup converter your rpm won't change when cruising. Mine didn't change after the stall, and no you don't need a tune after a stall.

I love the verter. I haven't had too much time with her yet. I still have yet to try it from a stop, but even from a roll, and just the way it feels... it's very nice The STR on it is 2.6. As far as the LS6 manifold, I completely forgot about it. I should definately watch, since they've been going cheap lately. As far as the track time, I'd love a 12.4 as is. There's a black TA around here with full bolt-ons only running 12.5s. If I can crack him, that'd be awesome

I still have the stock 3.23s. I'm not sure about gears, but it's definately being considered. I hear good things about 3.73s in an auto And I'm not sure what RPM I'm hitting at 70. I know at 2K I'm around 65 or so And as far as a tune, I don't have one yet, and I know I don't need one, but I might want to get some things changed, like deleting torque management, maybe raise the shift points (don't know yet if my car hits the limiter)

MISOMWS6: I saw your times in your sig. They're just about exactly the same that I did when I had the same mods. I mean, down to the tenth

Yeah I know I wasn't shure if you seen that in my first post when I said I was a "tick slower" I have LS6 manifolds and intake so you have a damn strong car
