Few ?s - Strange & Superior gears

Does anyone use or know about Superior gears? I can't seem to find anything good or bad concerning them. I am placing an order w/ Summit (nice credit in account ) and the only other options are Strange (strong but supposedly loud), Richmond (bad luck before), and the Superior brand. Is it true that both Motive and Superior are OEM suppliers? How do the two brands compare to each other?

How loud are the Strange gears? Louder than the Richmonds?

Thanks

Re: Few ?s - Strange & Superior gears

Not sure about gears, but when it comes to axles Superior gear puts out stuff superior to even the Moser and Strange Engineering stuff. They don't roll their splines like OEM's, but they do hobb them which is very close... and their hardening processes are the best in the business.

As for gear? I doubt their an OEM supplier... but probably not a bad product. Motive gears are known to be quiet and just as strong as anything else out there save for Richmond which is more of a race-focused gear (due to the slightly less Rockwell rating).

Go for the Motive just to be sure.

I went with Motive for gears.
