Eaton, powertrax or what?

i have a V6 camaro that at 10 psi i jsut ran best of 8.05 and best trap of 90 MPH in the 1/8 mile..... car can take 16-18 psi on pump gas (i just have to tune) had made a best of 456 RWHP on 14 PSI. (then tune got messed up form the tranny swap)

the car WAS a M5 and is now a Rossler Stage II 4L60E. with a VIG 3800 stall. LS1 DS and stock 10 bolt rear from a LT1

i did nine pass's that night and now the rear goes "clunk" or "pop" if i'm moving slow around a corner.

So what is best to upgrade with. i would like to go 3.42 (now have 3.23) and Eaton.. then i seen the powertrax system....

what would be the smartest thing with out spending 2000 on the 12 bolt?

thanks for any info you have...... i tried a search but you guys all just go to the 12 bolt....... do i REALLY need it with a an auto and goal of 10.99 in the 1/4 mile?

If you truely want to be reliable and be able to 60' all that hp you really need to consider the 12 bolt. The 10 bolt is marginal for stock hp applications and theres nothing you can do to make a 7.5" ring gear any larger/stronger. At you power level I wouldn't even consider spending another dime on the 10 bolt...JMHO...a 12 bolt with an Eaton with 800lb preload springs and the gear of your choice and be done with it...You'll have way more fun with a strong reliable rear...
