Driveshafts...
Re: Driveshafts...
all camaro/firebird driveshafts from 83-01 are interchangeable.
even v6-v8, L98-lt1-ls1....
makes it easier to find aluminum ones to get rid of the vibration

Re: Driveshafts...
Something sounds strange there... Did the '99 have an aftermarket rear axle? All the U-joints are the same for stock equipment, should be a drop-in replacement.
I know the 12-bolts use a special rear u-joint.

Does anybody know if the ls1 driveshafts were all the same or not?
Re: Driveshafts...
They're not all exactly the same, on my auto driveshaft the slip yoke was shorter than the one on the manual one I got free with the trans, but the overall length is the same. & some V6s had a two-piece that won't work without the center support. Anyway, it should still fit. I can't see why the u-joint wouldn't work, never heard of that one before. Sounds like it's time to research what kind of rear that car had in it.
