driveshaft question

driveshaft question

is it true that you can use an ls1 aluminum driveshaft with a lt1 car? i swear i heard it somewhere once before, so please dont flame.

Yes you can . AFAIK, all driveshafts are interchangable from '82 to '02 . Lots of guys run the LS1 aluminum. If you're looking around for one though, watch out for the A4's w/2.73's ... you'll find a nice steely in them.

I have a bad vibration i am thinking it is the driveshaft. had the tires rebalanced today. Anywhere over 60 it vibrates more so when you let off the throttle but also when you are accelerating. I was looking for a replacement driveshaft to put in to see if it is indeed my problem

sounds like it is your problem that is what mine did i put a 9 inch in mine so i had to change the rear joint did that had no problems decided next time i had it out to repl the front joint with a heavy duty put back in hello vibration if so i had a hole new nitrous ready shaft made was told when i had that one made that all factory drive shaft are a little out of ballance and when you change somethig look out
