Driveshaft Question
Re: Driveshaft Question
i have a 2000 trans am aluminum driveshaft in my car now... as long as you have a seriers 3 carrier (stock gears for a4 i THINK are 3.23) so you should be fine
but the U-joint should come already mated on the Driveshaft...

Re: Driveshaft Question
i'm not familiar with the ujoints....is the 1350 stock?
cause all driveshafts from 83-02 are interchangable...v8, v6, alum, steel, 3rd gen, LT1, LS1...all of them.

Re: Driveshaft Question
1350 joint will not fit a stock car, the 1350 joint is what is used for a 9" or 12-bolt.
You need a standard 1320 joint for the stock 10-bolt rear axle.
Otherwise the DS should work just fine.

Stock yoke is a saginaw 3R, I've never heard it called a 1320, but maybe that is a synonym. 1LE uses 1310 with a conversion ujoint at the rear to mate up with the 10 bolt 3R.

Re: Driveshaft Question
*Shrugs* I wouldn't doubt that you're right, I don't know everything...
Just know the ones I've delt with have all been 1350 U-joints... but then again, all of them have been aftermarket yokes, so that may have something to do with it too.
