Arrow driveline (possible T56) problems.....long

drivetrain mods in sig!
i'm gonna try and explain this the best i can.
1st off under certain loads it sounds like a "box of rox"!
it doesnt kick out of gear. clutch seems to engage fine.
once i get up to about 5-10mph is when it starts to make the "box of rox" noise and does that thru out each gear. (reverse doesnt make any noises that i noticed course never got going fast enuf to tell)
however it doesnt do it when i have it in gear and just coasting (and it doesnt vibrate when coasting in gear or out), it does it a lil bit when i have it in neutral and coasting and does it the worst when in gear (1st thru 6th) and accelerating.
this all happened after making a right turn and accelerating hard thru 1st, then when it came time for the gear change to 2nd is when breakage occured somewhere. cold day, not alot of traction, tires were spinning.

along with all the "box of rox" noises, i'm getting some nasty vibration thru out, it makes it difficult to tell where the vibes coming from but from the drivers seat it seems like its coming the worst from the rear passenger side but that could just be a figment of my imagination (fingers crossed)

tomorrow i'm gonna put it up on stands and pull the dust cover to see if i can tell what the clutch looks like, any other ideas on possible culprits? i didnt notice any leakage from the trans or rearend.
from just laying under the side of the car with it on the ground, the driveshaft seemed to twist a normal amount, 1/4" or less of play each direction, ruffly.

what does a busted clutch disk sound or feel like?
how about pressure plate springs? or the throwout bearing?
what happens when the splines break on the front of the trans, how about the rear?
what happens when the shift forks break? synchros?
i'm thinking clutch, as i've had noise ever since its been in (3yrs and ruffly 40,000 miles and less then 10 strip passes not a whole lot of dumps tho, i never really beat on the car) and i know some SPEC clutches have issues with things!?

any and all advice or ideas on places to start looking that you care to share with me is EXTREMELY APPRECIATED

THANKS!!
Steve

Sounds like...

Sounds like you might have broke something in the rear end. I would pop the diff cover off while it's up on stands and take a look. Might have lost some teeth from your ring and or pinion or possibibly a spyder gear. Should be able to see all that with the cover off. Spin the tires around and give it all a good look. Hope that helps. Keep us updated.

the top 2 bolts for the tq arm mount on the rearend worked loose, one of them fell out and the other was loose in there and when i romped on it it ripped right thru the tq arm, only leaving the bottom 2 bolts holding in place
nothing major came of this so i'm happy about that for sure
