Downshift.....no increase in rpms??

Alright i finished my trans go install everything was great for like a week......now when i downshift the car seems to go into neutral.....rpms don't jump up like they should. when you push the gas like in 2nd at 40 it revs to like 3 grand then finally accelerates......like it's in neutral till it gets to the matched rpm. Any ideas?

That sounds like the transmission is slipping?? Unfortunately, I don't understand all the internals of automatics yet, but when you downshift, the revs should go up, and if you hit the gas, the car should speed up right away!

...how many miles on your car? Hopefully there's a simple fix here, but it may be new tranny time.

120,000miles on it.

Someone said the overrun clutches, but i don't know what they are?

I want someone to tell me if one of the selinods wasn't connected what would happen.........the one could have slipped off----since i broke the clip that holds it together. It was the one with the blue clip....i don't know what would happen if that came off........i wish someone could tell me.
