do i need a aftermarket flywheel

i just bought a spec stage III clutch and dropped the tranny today and pulled the clutch

and my flywheel looked bad so i pulled it as well and took it in to get it turned and the guy at the shop said it was bad

so my question is should i just go to gm or should i consider aftermarket

and what are the advantages to aftermarket other then the weight and what brand should i go with if its aftermarket

unless it's warped or cracked, I would think that it would be ok to resurface it.

Two things in racing to remember:

1: Theres no replacement for displacement
2: The less the rotating mass the more power you get

Buy a aluminum flywheel
