Divability with Aluminum Flywheel
Divability with Aluminum Flywheel
Hi,
I was wanting to know from anyone that uses one, what the drivablity is like with an Aluminum flywheel. I have a billet Steel flywheel on the car now that I brought from SPEC...but surprisingly it's heavier than stock... about 4lbs heavier. For a guy who goes to the drags and likes fast take offs on the street... how are they?

Re: Divability with Aluminum Flywheel
I read that a heavier flywheel is better for launching consistency at the track. Makes sense.
But I read this right after I got a "lightweight" spec Steel flywheel. Damn.
But... Now you are telling me this is heavier than stock? Really? They said like 8 lbs. lighter...!
Anyway, I got it cuz I love to blip the throttle and heel and toe downshift through the esses. It should build more HP top end.

Re: Divability with Aluminum Flywheel
They all may not be... I might just have the rip off one.
it weighs 3lbs more than the stocker... but if you lift them up at the same time the stocker is def. lighter.
