Did I break it?

Ok…so I tried bleeding my clutch again today…this time using the clutch pedal itself. So I had with the Clutch Master Cylinder cap on I started pumping the Clutch pedal…(BTW the actual Slave Cylinder it’s self was out the vehicle dangling from a cord) So as I pumped the clutch pedal I notice it was going down all the way. So Pumped it a bit harder…then *POOOOFFFF* my mouthed dropped open. What the hell did I break this time? So I go around to the front of the car and I notice brake fluid everywhere. It was all around the Clutch master Cylinder. After I went and changed my underwear. I cleaned the area up a bit. I checked the system for any Cracks…Leaks or anything showing a hose Burst ETC found nothing… pulled the Diagram out...Perfect. I filled the Master Cylinder up with more fluid again. When I got back in the car and pressed the Clutch pedal down there was no resistance not what so ever. The clutch pedal felt looser than a 3dollar working girl. So I tried it the original way with pressing the Slave cylinder in. As I did this I had a friend helping me. After the Diaphragm and Master Cylinder Cover were replaced on the reservoir, I began pumping the Slave Cylinder in a little. AS I did this brake fluid was squirting out the top of the Master cylinder. Ummm this never happened before. I go inside and check the Pressure on the pedal….still nothing. Looser than it ever was? Did I mess my cap up or something? What I do wrong…this time? Here’s some photos form the crime scene.

>Well I have the part number for the clutch master cylinder actuator from www.gmpartsdirect.com ( # 12559912 ) .
I broke mine and it cost me $102.00 with shipping .
I broke the "ears" off the actuator at the transmission where the braided hose connects , and my pedal went to the floor with absolutely no resistance .

You can't bleed it with the slave hanging there. I would just use a self bleeder and stick the end in the resevoir and just make sure you always have some fluid in it. You will see air bubbles in the bleeder line and then they will get less & less til you have all the air out. I've done it that way several times with no problems.

It's no holding any pressure. The Slave Cylinder functioned fine. It's the MAstercylinder that's lame. Know where I can find a new one...I was thinking about going to the dealer...and swapping parts off one of the show models.
