could it be my tranny?

hi guys. got a question. ive got a 97ss a4, when im driving from 1-2 car shifts fine but from time to time going from 3-4 the rpms stay ay 1500 for about 10-20 seconds going 30mph then....it it goes into gear.

Ive cleaned the throttle body, was very dirty, helped a little. theres no ses codes, my map sensor was a bit loose tightned it up, the rubber gasket was like mush. just put in gumout fuel inj cleaner with my tank of gas, really cant tell.is it my tranny? sopmeone mentioned to me that it could be my torque converter not locking up? its stock by the way. any help is very appreciated. thanx. peace. Could be the Tourqe converter, or it could be that the clutchs in your trans a slipping. Might be time for a rebuild.
